In the sixties, Eddie and the cruisers was the hottest band around. But the tragic death of its lead singer broke the band up. Only Eddie is not dead. He works as a carpenter in Montreal. Twenty years ago, young rock star Eddie Wilson disappeared after a car accident. Trying to escape an intolerable past, Eddie moves to Montreal and changes his name. Now 'Joe West' the construction worker is haunted. Haunted by a past that will not die. Haunted by a sudden superstar fame that he never had when he was alive. Haunted by his own music played daily on radio and tv. And haunted by the music passion that burns so hot within his soul.
